Darryl L. Wilson is a former General Electric (GE) company officer who brings over 35 years of business experience, 30 with GE and BP. He now operates The Wilson Collective (TWC), a company focused on building, investing, powering, and partnering to create sustainable business solutions for this and the next generation.

 

 

Darryl recently retired from his position of Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer for GE Power with global responsibility delivering commercial productivity and growth across GE’s $38 billion power generation, services, transmission, distribution, nuclear, water and conversions business.

Prior to this role, Darryl was Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer for GE Energy Connections, GE’s $11B electrification, controls, and automation business, with global responsibility for its 4,000-person sales and marketing organization, which included commercial oversight during GE’s historic Alstom Grid integration.

Prior to this, Darryl was Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer for GE’s $6B Distributed Power business, a global supplier of power generation equipment and services to the power and oil and gas industries.

Darryl also served as President and CEO of GE Power and Water’s $5B aero- derivative gas turbine business, a leading provider of global power generation and oil and gas applications, with manufacturing locations around the world, including, Texas, Ohio, The Netherlands, Brazil, Hungary, and China.

He has extensive international experience serving as President and CEO, GE Consumer & Industrial—Asia Pacific, in Shanghai, China; Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, GE Consumer & Industrial—Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA); President and CEO, GE Consumer Products—Europe, Middle East, Africa and India (EMEAI); and Global General Manager, GE Specialty Lighting. Early in his career, Darryl took on progressively more senior roles at GE, as well as several years in management development roles with British Petroleum (BP).

A native of Shaker Heights, Ohio, Darryl resides with his wife and two boys in Houston, Texas. He serves on the boards of the Greater Houston Partnership, the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, GE/Hitachi Nuclear, and GE/Prolec. In addition, he is active with the DREME Foundation (and serves on the board), Indiana University’s Kelly School of Business Dean’s Council, and the U.S / Mexico Energy Business Council.

Darryl holds a Bachelor’s degree in business administration from Baldwin-Wallace College in Ohio, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing from Indiana University
